If your dog has long hair that has a tendency to form mats, it would be a good idea to brush that hair on a regular basis. Mats that get tight can be painful for your pet, pulling on the skin and causing sores and irritation to the skin underneath. Having mats removed can be tricky for your groomer because the pet is uncomfortable but they are certainly thankful to be done with the snarly mess of hair!
